Ancestral; A Body of Water

‘Our collective body breathes and remembers.

Accumulated ancestral memories in Atlantic’s waters,

where Britannia rules the waves with the star-spangled banner,

we see beyond a violent racist gaze, we are as Human, Mother, Father, Brother, Sister…eternal beings.

Witnessing the strongholds on fragile limbs, we deserve to exhale; a his-story does not define u; it should not reward us something that is rightfully ours.

The right to life, liberty and equal protection of the law, as we are told we are equal before the law.

Contained in an ancestral body of water, our souls have no limitations, as we live forever in magnificent blackness.’
